JULY 18, 2021 - CGKIDS
Parents -
Below are some resources for our children in children’s ministry. Please note that our Preschool - 3rd grade children are hearing the same story so that portion of the resources for the Sunday will be the same. The response options are different and have been created to be age appropriate. However, if you choose to reenact the story, you can have all ages participate. If you have multiple children in your family the Godly Play option for the K/1 grade room is a good option to adapt to all family members.
** Please note: Graduation Sunday will happen on August 1. On this date, children will move classrooms at the church and should begin watching the online material for their 2021-2022 grade and age break-out. More info to come! **

Have your child pray.
Read Genesis 3:8 - 24
Respond to the following: Did Adam and Eve admit they were wrong? What were the consequences of Adam and Eve’s actions.
Think about yourself and journal about the following: Have you ever disobeyed? What were the consequences?
Ask your parents to borrow a suitcase. Find something heavy to put in the suitcase. If you have bricks or water bottles at your house, those will work. Try to carry the suitcase with the heavy items in it. Did you get very far? Did you want to take out the items that were heavy?
When we sin and disobey God, it starts to weigh us down. It makes our hearts feel heavy. We can get rid of this weight by saying we are sorry to God and to others. Remember confession is admitting to God and others when we are wrong.
