  1. Give a brief overview of the story you are reading. Who’s involved, what’s happening?

  2. What made you go “What?”, “Whoa!”, or “Wow!” in the text? Describe why.

  3. What do you recognize about the interaction between Jesus and the Scribes and Pharisees in this section? Scribes and Pharisees were religious elite and keepers of the religious law. 

  4. Jesus encourages his disciples, those who follow him. What are some takeaways we as followers of Jesus can keep with us? What can we expect?
