SOLITUDE INSTEAD OF ISOLATION

In this moment of “interruption” the enemy wants to fill your time with fear, social media binges, and useless tasks.  Don’t let social distancing cultivate loneliness and isolation in you. Yes, be a presence of peace to those around you and, yes, be the hands and feet of Jesus when your neighbors need you. However, don’t forget that this could also be a time of solitude wherein God’s people are able to draw near to Him for life-giving spiritual practices!

  • What kind of spiritual practice can you cultivate in the open space of this moment?

    • Prayer (intercession)?

    • Bible Reading?

    • Listening to God?

    • Praise and thanksgiving?

Let’s choose to embrace this as a time of solitude WITH God instead of loneliness and isolation. Share what God is telling you through your spiritual practice (office@cgnortheast.org).
