APRIL 19, 2020 SUNDAY MESSAGE
CALL + RESPONSE:
Every week, we join with Christians throughout the globe and throughout history to REMEMBER what Jesus did for us by sharing in Communion together. During this season, as we prepare our hearts communion, we will be using a prayer provided by the 24/7 prayer team to intercede for DELIVERANCE FROM THE CORONAVIRUS.
CALL:
Jehovah Shalom, Lord of Peace,
we remember those living in coronavirus hotspots
and those currently in isolation.
May they know your presence in their isolation,
your peace in their turmoil and your patience in their waiting.
Prince of Peace,
you are powerful and merciful;
let this be their prayer
RESPONSE:
“May your mercy come quickly to meet us,
for we are in desperate need.
Help us, God our Saviour,
for the glory of your name.”
Amen
(Psalm 79:8)
COMMUNION:
(1 COR. 11:23B-26)
“The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
We will be hosting two large All-Church groups on MAY 16th, 10am and 8pm, to discuss the movie Just Mercy! Please RSVP here!
Registration for VBS Summer 2020 is now open. We are operating under the hope that we will be able to utilize our facilities for this Summer’s events, but if we need to postpone, then we will.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
We are hosting prayer team meetings for both the congregation at large and individuals to sign up for individual prayer.
We also will have a zoom meeting to pray for requests publicly during a zoom meetup on Fridays at 8:30PM (Password: 722041)
If you would like individual prayer or would like more privacy, email Emily to set up virtual prayer times to meet with someone on our prayer team, an elder, or pastor.
TODAY’S WORSHIP SONG-LIST:
These songs can also be listened to throughout the week. Use this time of singing to reflect further on the Scripture, sermon, and application for daily life. Feel free to use your instruments at home!

“Another in the Fire” by Hillsong (Chords - Key of D)
SUGGESTIONS FOR WORSHIP:
Coty Miller’s own “Praise & Worship” Spotify playlist and “Praise & Worship” YouTube playlist (slightly different from each other), both of diverse music that are being constantly updated!
Bethel Music :
Bethel Music’s hours of live music YouTube Playlist, also being constantly updated
Bethel provides chords to most (if not all) of their songs here (just have to register email, but free!)
MOVIE TIME! Bethel Music recently produced and recently their own movie called The Bright Ones and they are streaming it for free starting April 15 and the following 7 days. Register here. Stream here.
Live worship moments from the Upper Room YouTube Playlist
Journal writing! (I’m a writer too, so sometimes creative writing and writing my thoughts to God is my form of worship.)
Declare and worship with truth by singing and praying scriptures.
WORSHIP NIGHT! Dedicate a night to worship with friends and family, your house church or neighbors, those who need prayer, love worship, or just enjoy music through a video chat platform like Zoom. You can have one person leading at a time (switching off to whoever else wants to lead) while others sing along, pray, or prophesy, etc.
Serving your community, both online, in person, or both, is a great way to worship God, from spreading encouragement and God’s Word online to physically serving food to others. If you are able to go out and serve, click here for opportunities.
COMMISSIONING:
As Jesus said in John 20:21,
"Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."
Go, be the Church!
In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Amen.
